ATLANTA, Jun 21, 2010 - MedAssets Inc. (NASDAQ: MDAS) has been selected to be the preferred replacement for the Ascent(R), contract management solution, for hospitals from Thomson Reuters. The Ascent solution will be discontinued on December 31, 2012.
In order to ease the transition of its customers to a new contract management solution, Thomson Reuters conducted a thorough review of several vendors. MedAssets was chosen based on the product's stability and its history of returning superior results to its customers. MedAssets' contract management solution, Contract Manager, earned top rankings in the Revenue Cycle - Contract Management category in the 2009 Top 20 Best in KLAS Awards: Software & Professional Services Report and in each of the three previous years.
