Our Emergency Preparedness program was developed to help keep customers abreast of issues related to Emergency Preparedness planning, emergency supply resources and other essential disaster information. MedAssets takes seriously the importance of emergency preparedness planning. We with suppliers and healthcare provider customers to ensure the continuity and stability of the supply chain in the event of a disaster, whether it be natural disaster, communicable disease outbreak, terrorist attack or other incident. MedAssets’ extensive knowledge of contracted products and services in virtually all primary areas of healthcare facilities’ supply chain, as well as strong relationships with suppliers, enables MedAssets to support customers’ needs in times of crises as well as calm. MedAssets makes every effort to ensure that key supplies are available to customers through our contracted vendors, provides alternatives for customers through broad-based contracting and portfolio depth and can assist in communicating hospitals’ needs to the supplier community when their regular channels may be disrupted.
